I live in the mountains of NorCal,and days are 80s to 90s, nights 40s to 50's in the summer, and really low humidity like Arizona. I have to grow in greenhouses to raise the humidity during the day and keep the soil warm at night, some stuff is outside, and I use shade clothe after transplanting for a few days, so they spend their energy stretching their feet and not on fighting transpiration during the hot days, then gradually remove it, but I have 80 foot pine trees all around my third acre, and my plants never get strong enough to endure the 3 hours of direct sun that they do get. It's really a job to grow without much sun, and mostly by heat and humidity, but not impossible. Every area has its own unique challenges. Great video, I just found your channel, and not disappointed. I usually watch John Koeler, from growing your own greens, but haven't watched in awhile, but now that the snow is melting, I'm getting ready to start my plants inside. I love watching your yard take form, I'll have to find a more recent video, but I am trying to watch the transformation of your property,so beautiful, you've done an amazing job. Stay Free! Grow your own food people, be self reliant, times are getting tough, learn how to garden everyone, and this channel is awesome!

How many square feet do you have in total? I have about 200sq ft in NYC and I'm trying to make the most of my space! Definitely will be using coconut coir and azomite this season.

thanks Jake for the video . l like all of the information you have given. I have a question? Did you make your fish pond ? or did you have someone do it for you? Maybe you could do a video on it and how it is set in your yard?

Great video, thank you!  We are thinking of moving and I noticed that one of houses that we looked at have raised beds made of concrete.  Does it make difference whether your planting beds are wood or concrete.  Which would you prefer?

peat moss is a renewable resource , it the processes of harvesting the older dead moss from beneath the surface of the living peat bog that is not renewable ,,, basically strip mining moss that is not renewable , it can be harvested in a renewable way with out strip mining,,, just a lot more expensive processes and less volume for equal efforts used .
