There are lots of items that can fail, but it generally does not take much to really get your system running correctly and efficiently. One of the more common and preventable aquaponic issues, may be the formation of algae. All aquaponic systems us water with nutritional elements from fish. The nutrient tank must be manufactured from dark material, to limit the light exposure. Alongside dark material, a lid for the reservoir is crucial. It is possible to cut holes no larger than the pump hose in the lid. Having a light proof aquaponic system may be the goal in preventing algae. Great video, nice and simple design showed in a clear manner.  I'd like to ask a couple of basic questions that I have about this system, 1) Would it not be tricky to make a system of this nature if you had multiple pots, as there would be no circulation. 2) Taking measurements of ppm, temperature and pH would be difficult due to having to regularly take off the net pots and lid .

I still really appreciate you doing this video and am just provoking further possible elaboration on how to possibly upscale this DWC = RDWC.

    Thanks again
