The big benefit of coco/rockwool mats/slabs are the clean up times imho. Roll it up and toss it. Whereas, you get clay pellets involved; it's a lot more work on harvest day which is already a busy day. My thing is, I want to be able to move my plants (in planters) so i can remove salt by "dunking, "in fresh ph adjusted water monthly. You don't have to, but it's just my adopted method.
Say Coco Mat one more time, I dare you
Some one told me that they usually wait like you stated 2 weeks after transplantand and I roll with a 1/4 of the recommended dose and gradually work your way up watching the reaction of your plant's every week you feed them. After 5 weeks or so I give a flush and prepare for a transition period where you would probably want to gradually start adding bloom. If anyone knows if this is the right wat to do this or not let me know asap pls comment.
great vid learn alot
thanks for the info. do you ever find it a nuisance not being able to move the plants around once its rooted to the coco mat? or should i not be moving plants around anyway?
how much electricity does a simple hydroponic system consume?
Anyone not get the fact that fact he prefers coco mat. If so kill yourself.
The downside of hydroponics is that you must purchase "plant food" or nutrients and supplements which are pricey.
