I accidentally broke off a huge portion of my vine (I just bought a plant from Lowes') there is still a portion on the original vine with a leaf on and we planted that, but can I still plant/grow that broken off portion? We just stuck it in the ground and going to buy another vine, but was still wondering if there was any way that the broken off vine could root and continue to grow.
That vine is a mess

I wouldn't add just any animal "dung' to my plants (like dog, cat, etc.). I would just buy the manure from the store (cow, horse, in the like). Plus feed them also. LOL
Thanks a lot
I like green tomatoes by making salad.
this nice but I prefer good visual lesson so I can grow many awesome veggies.

Great instruction. However I also would not recommend watering the plants from above as this can stimulate illness, like Phytophthora.
is there any difference in the taste of tomatoes as far as location of states????
I have like 2-3 tomato plants growing in the backyard but the leaves are turning brown on them. One is already has two tomatoes that are green. I used a mixture of garlic powder, liquid dish soap and baking soda as I read online it would be to kill the pests off and sprayed them yesterday. Today, the leaves were more brown than any other time. I think the spray must be the reason. Don't know what to do about this problem?:-(
Thanks for the information this will help me
watering tomato plants from above as shown at 3:27 can be dangerous and i wouldn't recommend it. Not only does it make the soil below the plant splash up onto the leaves and greatly increase the chances of a soil borne disease, the wet leaves get a greater chance of developing a disease like mildew due to the water on the leaves. watering plants at the base, below the leaves but just above the soil is best because it reduces splashing and the plant still gets water.
