The ULTIMATE hydroponic system growing over 100 plants in. Gidroponic
I’m cleaning out my tower garden this morning and showing you how easy it is to do. Also some tips for growing lettuce in the hot FL summer. Slobolt is a wonderful heirloom lettuce that is heat tolerant and slow to bolt. Grows quite large. Quite a deal too — order 3 packages of seeds from Hirts on Amazon and get free shipping: http://amzn.to/1UImhx6
Update June 2013: I now do my clean out every 2 months. I empty and refill the tower once a month. If you have any questions on how to do that, message me. Thanks!

pretty cool brah 🙂 diy tutorial please?
Hi Leah. Thank you for the videos. I have a tower garden but feel that I'm not getting the most of it and need help. I have a questions: what kind of Ph Level tester do you use? I'm tired of using the drops to check the PH level in my tower every time I have to refill the tank. I'm in South Florida. Thank you
Any more suggestions on Tower Gardens in South Florida? (Fort Myers area) Does the water get too hot?

TO GARDEN! :)
good one leah!!!
Leah, I live in Orlando and I find that I need to clean my tower every month the way you clean yours once a year. I have bits of root matter in the bucket every 3-4 weeks that effect the acidity of the water and the only way to get the out is to dump the whole thing. Do you not get these bits? I have large pepper, egg plants and tomato plants right now that are making it heavy.
doesnt the water temps in the summer cause root rot?
i'd like to get a smaller planter like this, maybe just 8 holes, easier to manage
I must appreciate the details that being shared in this video. I found it very useful and it seems very satisfying to learn significant methods coming from your way. Thank you!
I am setting up my ultimate goal to acquire such very resourceful and interesting growing system. I am truly inspired as you enable to grow a wide variety of different vegetables through this unique way. I guess I can manage my own with the help of these great ideas!
How do you manage growing a wide variety of plants in this kind of system? I guess it is very difficult to handle but I have proven myself wrong. Through this video, I found out that cleaning out this garden is very easy and I just realized now that growing lettuce in a tower garden are quite possible too.
This is so cool, and what a coincidence I live in Florida and stumbled upon this video looking for good kinds of lettuce for our climate. Lo and behold you suggest Malabar Spinach and proceed to show off a myriad of lettuce varieties! It looks perfect, thank you for mentioning it, I will have to give it a try. Neat tower, incredible root length!
Hi, I'll message you that info 🙂
where can i get a tower like the
So glad it was helpful!
Thanks for getting back to me. Your video was very helpful.
Ants are not a problem — they are just getting a drink of water 🙂
I am having problems with ants. What can I spray and not kill the plants?
Hi Joann, no water bugs at all. The water circulates throughout the system so there are no issues with mosquito larvae or any other bugs in the water. Raccoons leave the towers alone. I had a raccoon dig up my ground garden but ignore my tower gardens. If you want more info, email me at gardensmarter@gmail.com or call me at 386-473-2638. I'd love to chat 🙂
Hi, I'm wondering if you have a problem with water bugs? I also live in Florida, (central) and was considering buying a tower. I notice you keep yours outside, any raccoon invasions? Thanks for sharing!
Am I trippin or did is look like that hose just phases into another dimension??
