http:// First Lady Michelle Obama has a garden at the White House. She is encouraging kids to grow a garden. When children grow a garden with fruits and vegetables, it will motivate them to eat the foods they grow. It is a great educational opportunity for parents who have children who dislike eating fruits or vegetables. When a child grows a garden, the child will experience ownership of vegetables/fruits he normally wouldn’t eat. This would be the perfect time for parents and Homeschooling parents to instill life long healthy eating habits in their children. The “How to Grow a Garden’ video is a visual to educate children on how easy it can be to start a garden especially with a Starter Kit. Also this educational planting video can be used as a motivator tool to encourage children to use order words in writing a paragraph about How to Grow a Garden. Writing is a skill most boys and girls do not enjoy doing but when you have them write about a good personal experience, watch them get excited about writing. Thank you so much for your supportive comment. I'm concerned about children's academic education and helping to educate kids and their parents about eating healthy foods. It is so important to eat fruits and vegetable. It's amazing how these foods can help the body heal and make us feel better. When a child's body feels healthy, he/she can think clearer and retain information. Happy children make teaching easier for teachers.
