*I wanted to share with you my latest garden video (Fall Planting 2013).*

*This is to get your ready for the video that I just shot today and I will
be releasing this weekend sometime. I believe you will find it to be
informative and hopefully you will want to see more and come on the journey
    with me.*

*What part of my garden would you like to see more of?*

I finally got my *Fall Garden Started a couple of weeks ago*, so here’s an
    update.

*I gave in and started a Mittleider Garden with my fall planting.*

This season is completely a trial and error garden for me as I’m certain
it’s a bit too late but I’m still giving it a shot. I’m hoping that the
weather will hold out, allow me to make some progress, and give me time to
decide whether or not to build more Mittleider Garden beds for next summer
season. I’m hoping my results are favorable. Think Positive!

I’m also planning on building a greenhouse (my time is limited). Even
though it may take me a while, I’ll bring you with me every step of the
    way….so look forward to that.

I hope that my wins and failures will help to shorten your learning curve
and you venture into your garden and your level of dependency on others
    decreases.

*What do you like to plant in your fall garden?*

Thank You +Blake Kirby for running such a wonderful and productive
    community. :)?

Oh yes, you do have the ability to grow food year round….I’m highly
jealous! 🙂 That said Mark, I’m looking at building a greenhouse very soon
so that I can do the same thing. Keep doing what you’re doing, I love your
channel and your mentality about everything. God Bless, Wayne

  • Wayne Meador

Thanks man I appreciate it! I’d love to help you out in any way if you’re
in need? Just hit me up, food supply will be important when we are on our
own so that’s why I’m learning the basics on a small scale first, then I
will expand. 🙂 This is probably the easiest way to grow (or so I’ve
heard)….I’m putting that to the test. Wayne

  • Wayne Meador

Thank You Brock, I really appreciate that! Especially coming from you! 🙂
I’ll keep you all updated on the progress, I’m hoping that it works out.
Also, can’t wait to get started on the Greenhouse! 🙂

Wayne: The Mittleider system of growing includes much more than just using
the Pre-Plant and Weekly Feed fertilizers. Proper spacing (usually closer
than people are accustomed to), regular watering, etc., etc. all make for
    a great garden.

I encourage you to follow the recipe accurately and consistently, and you
will be amazed at the results.

Regarding the comment about possible dependency , may I suggest that it is
very simple and inexpensive to stock a FIVE or even TEN years’ supply of
the natural mineral nutrients – in a corner of your garage or basement,
etc. You are thus totally freed from worrying about where or how you might
obtain the proper food for your plants. That, to me, is a real sustainable
    garden?

  • Susan Rogers

Well I guess you beat me to it, LOL I was going to do the Mittleider
feeding this year to see how well I could make it work for me. I was going
to mix the soil up a bit and not have just sand and sawdust in one of my
    beds. Looks Great!?

  • Wayne Meador

*Six days later……My Mittleider Garden is growing like mad and I’m super
excited at the results of the Mittleider weekly feed!*

I show you a comparison of the plants in the Mittleider garden vs. the
plants in the traditional garden. I couldn’t be happier. I think I was
almost smiling so much that I couldn’t talk to shoot the video! Oh, and
stick around to the end and look at how the carrots were affected by the
    Mittleider Garden Weekly Feed.

Yes it does man. LOL I grew up German Baptist (very similar to Amish) in
central Indiana…I actually think he was a Mormon possibly? Either way,
the stuff works! 🙂 Thank You

  • Wayne Meador

Yeah it really is, isn’t it?! I’m really excited about this, probably more
excited about it than I’ve been all year. I will keep you all updated for
sure. 🙂 Thank you for watching and commenting! Wayne

  • The Self Sufficient Life

I’ve been watching this system for long time now. Definitely produces well
but I do have one problem with it. In helping one to become food
independent it creates dependency on THEIR fertilizer. Personal opinion….
Think it is great to use partially but I won’t use it on the entire garden.
I want to continue to learn how to naturally feed my plants to insure
independency. I’ve been doing ok so far and next year expect to do much
    better.

  • Wayne Meador

You bet brotha, it’s a sweet way to grow food man. I would venture to say
that if it’s set up properly, it’s the easiest, quickest, and best way to
grow food fast and with little knowledge. I’m thinking I will convert to
this method for all of my outside garden. Get the book, it’s well worth it!

  • Wayne Meador

Yes Jay, I think you and I are on the same page for the most part. I need
to get my food production up fast and this is one quick way to do it. I’m
also trying to build up the organic matter in the soil though too…”what
if” something happens, and I need to garden w/no fertilizer…I’ve got that
    one started.

  • The Self Sufficient Life

Yes, my point exactly. “What if”. I hope to get some of the Mittlieder
myself for that quicker food production as well. I’m think a 50/50 area.
I’ve only been studying on soil building and natural fertilizers for about
1 year. Not a quick process. For me it is about developing a skill to
    increase my independence.

  • Wayne Meador

I know, right!?!? I’m so amazed by this Mittleider thing, and I’m very
happy so far. If I can figure out the largest part of the equation (pests)
then I should have a really amazing harvest! 🙂 Thank You for stopping by
to watch and for commenting, I really appreciate it! Wayne

  • Lumberman2011

I will take a look. Sounds like an amish name LOL..JK .. That fall planting
is cool to have two growing seasons is awesome….Good luck Wayne! I wish I
had a greenhouse..some day! Take care

  • Wayne Meador

I couldn’t agree with you more Brock! 🙂 I’ve been really amazed at the
difference in the Mittleider bed vs. the traditional bed…I’m inspired
right now. Thank you for the compliments on the trellis. I built that from
scrap wood that I found for free. I think I’m going to rebuild it all when
I extend the bed and make each of my beds easily convertible into mini
greenhouses…but we’ll see. Thanks again for watching and commenting, I
    value your interaction! Wayne

  • meanshoes

I’m always amazed at how fast things will just up and tale off when the’re
ready to eh. by the way I really like the nice raised beds with the nice
    trellis. Good going brother! Brock

  • bwatters68

Looks good , glad to see the results , hope it produces well for you , I
have been way to busy to get a fall garden going , maybe next year. But hey
my peppers and and other things I planted in pots are still producing ,
    thanks for sharing

  • Wayne Meador

Thanks Brotha Ed! 🙂 I would have propagated the trimmings if I had the
space and/or if it was summer but since it’s fall and I’m doing this more
as an experiment I wanted to keep it simple and I already have loads of
maters. hehe I will be doing more of that next spring. See the link in the
description to learn about the Mittleider Gardening Method…I will also
add more more verbage in the description as well. Thanks for watching and
    commenting! Wayne

  • Wayne Meador

Yeah man, those peppers are resiliant! 🙂 I wish I could have kept mine
going but I needed the garden space… Thanks for stopping by, watching,
and commenting! Thanks in advance, Wayne

  • Wayne Meador

Bring enough guns to share, I need em’! Let’s team up….no man, I’m
serious! Let me know if you want to get our heads together when it comes to
being prepared. Thanks for the support brotha, I appreciate it! Wayne

  • Lumberman2011

Good fall garden!! Congrats.. How about taking your tomatoe trimmings and
planting them in pots they will grow if you keep the soil wet, Popprepper
does that and it works great for him… You already have a healthy large
plant to begin with.a lil hormone powder will ensure of healthy root growth
andd fast. Good stuff Wayne.. Whats Mittleider?
