what do you do with the lid/plants/roots while you're changing the reservoir? Do you just prop it up wherever?

  • If you're growing consumables you'll want to use a food grade plastic, there are buckets that are ideals for this!

also at the 26 mark you can see algae growing all over the rockwool. The cubes need to be low enough so you can cover the cubes later with hydroton after the plants grow a little.

600 PPM on seedling will fry them bitches assuming you are using a ,5 conversion TDS meter.man this is a shit video

  • mrwilltattoodude 2 weeks ago

LOL this is a suck ass video.First you need to set the water level with the nets in place and about an inch of hydroton in the net so the water bubbles below the rocks.YOU completely skipped that step so no one is gonna know where to set the water level and why.Using RO water you need a calmag supplement first thing or your plants are gonna look like shit i a week.AND you never add the nutes straight to the res.YOU mix with water first.THE very last thing you do is PH the water cause nutes and calmag will alter the PH not PH the water first. And one airstone in that bucket is shit. You need more air under the nets. And lastly a clear bucket gonna grow algae like a bitch.Delete this video cause everything you did was Janky as fuuuk lol.

Hey thanks for sharing that and making it look easy. I really want to grow kale. Collards too; basically all the expensive greens in green smoothies. Oh, if it were possible to grow avocados. Do you think it possible to grow kale and spinach with the salad greens? I imagine you have to bloom tomatoes separately from the rest. But can you clone them in the first stage togetherness? Or should tomato plants stay separate from the beginning? Can you grow romas and cherry or beefsteak together? Not much space. A little worried about food prices. So apologies for all the questions. Thanks again for the clearly demonstrated video.
