Hi Gary, I have a question for you. my corn grew up to 14 feet high and some of the bigger cobs were 14" long. They didn't all mature by first frost however so we lost about 1/3 of the crop – likely because of the height. I used organic fertilizer (not fish fert) and my own compost (no manure). I added blood meal in years past but not this year as it was about 12 feet high last year. I've tried several heirloom corn varieties over the years looking for a sweeter corn — this year was Trucker corn but still not sweet. What would cause corn to grow so high and is there something lacking in the soil that prevents sweetness?

Gary you have been a big help with your advice on starting seeds. I am very pleased with my tomato plants, bell pepper plants, and squash. I look forward to watching this coming year.

I have been following your videos since March, when i used them FOLLOWING STEP BY STEP,, the process of preparing soil, planting indoor seeds, lighting, transplanting, planting outdoors, maintaining (pests and diseases instruction) outdoors, and now harvesting…including the great salad dressing video!. My peppers are popping, my plum and huge red heirloom tomatoes are 8 to 13 feet high!!! i have, so far,, 22 quarts of canned tomatoes,(and many more hanging and waiting) 16 quarts refrige pickles, and 40 packages of frozen string beans,, all the dill, basal and thyme i will ever need! not to mention pumpkins, huge beets, kale, lettuce, and spinach. not bad for four 4×4 square foot garden plots! Thank you so much for the well thought out and sequential material which had made this, my first back yard pharm an incredible success! i pass on and recommend your site to everyone i know.

It is incredibly gratifying to start something by seed and then in a few months serving it for dinner. Had more kale and tomatoes than I could possibly eat this year! Only my second year vegetable gardening! All thanks to you videos! It's also helped in my native plant propagation hobby! Some of the tips carry over.

Gary what about next year growing non standard vegetables that is not found often in the garden, such as Abyssinian cabbage, Celtuce, Orache, Sea Kale

Gary why don't you do a  Q& A  as it would be interesting to find more information about the man behind the camera.  A blooper vid would be fun to see as well.
