On Tuesday, March 22, 2016 Blackburn Laboratory Middle School held a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the Blackburn Learning Garden. The garden is a joint project between Jackson State University’s Center for University-Based Development, Blackburn Laboratory Middle School, Mississippi Roadmap to Health Equity, Inc., Waste Management, and Keep Jackson Beautiful. The garden is expected to flourish and serve as an outdoor classroom for all of the students at Blackburn for many years to come.
