Plants grow better with rain water because it is saturated with oxygen and that is what brings oxygen to the plants roots hence the growth!you can use a water stone or bubbler to eliminate the chlorine in your city water.?

Be careful about your videos, the EPA thinks all rain water belongs to them and they might fine you and force you to remove your system.

Have you tried building salamander sandstone pyramids next to that sandy/beachy inlet of your pond?
Just like they did at the german Schloss Tempelhof Permaculture(see youtube)?

  • J. Verheulst 1 year ago

ladybugs won't stay around without their favorite plants.?

  • J. Verheulst 1 year ago

Plant Yarrow and Marigolds smack bam all through your watermellon patches to bug off the aphids.
Also plant ladybug atracting plants and flowers around them like Agastache, Angelica, Calendula, Caraway, Chives, Cilantro, Coreopsis, Cosmos, Dill, Echinacea(aka Coneflowers), Fennel(only!!! in overhanging pots), Feverfew, Lavender, Lobelia, Milkweed, Scabiosa, Statice, Sweet Alyssum.
    Good luck.
Normally you plant these beforehand…you can also plant tobaccoplants(next to your mellons) that will lure/pull away all the aphids as aphids are extreem tobacco junkies ;-)?

The Urban Homestead youtube channel uses the same land ducks.?

  • J. Verheulst 1 year ago

Put land ducks in your yard to eat up all the grape caterpillars and other grapebugs. Quails are also very good.?

If you bury your sweet potatoe vines about every six inches or so at the junction of a leaf, they will send out more roots at those points and make more potatoes.
